Courtesy National Library of Medicine

Arthur Murray, an investigator for the US Bureau of Mines, explained risk factors associated with lead mining and presented research on the health impacts of lead on workers within the Utah lead mining industry. He concluded that ultimately, lead poisoning prevention is the responsibility of both mining companies to provide safe working conditions and workers to be proactive about their personal health and hygiene.
