Letter from Leonidas H. Berry to Sherry Arnstein, about discrimination in Chicago hospitals
Leonidas H. Berry wrote to the US Department of Health, Education, and Welfare reporting several cases of continuing discrimination in Chicago hospitals, including discrimination in staff appointments, and differential treatment of patients in ward or room accommodations. He insisted that lack of civil rights compliance was not just a southern problem.
