Program for “The Flying Black Medics” Task Force Conference on Health in Cairo, Illinois
Leonidas H. Berry organized a conference to follow the Flying Black Medics clinic in Cairo, Illinois. Speakers included Berry, two other Chicago doctors, Cairo civil rights and church leaders, and Ralph Hines of Meharry Medical College. Movies were shown on smoking, cancer, heart disease, malnutrition, health careers, and "Black Medical History." In other rooms in the church building, visitors could receive free medical screenings. "Door prizes" of health supplies were also offered.
