Nurses working for the Henry Street Visiting Nurse Service in New York City took these snapshots, which show their lives and the lives of the families they cared for in the 1930s.

Miss Weaver and Miss Jeffrey are wearing the Henry Street Visiting Nurse Service insignia on their hat band as part of their uniforms. The insignia was given to nurses who were accepted on the Staff after a two-months introductory period.
