"But You Can Do Better Than Being Just a Nurse!", 1980

In this nursing school paper, through the lens of others' criticisms of his career choice, Daniel Sheridan defended his decision to be a nurse in the gender-segregated health care profession. "What my father, and a large segment of society in general, fail to understand is that nursing is truly a career choice." He described nursing as a profession that offered, most importantly, work with an "infinite array of unique patients."
