Diagnosis: Domestic Violence, Massachusetts Medical Society, 1997
This video follows several emergency room physicians as they treat actual patients at Boston City Hospital. Patients describe their experiences with current or former partners who were batterers. The video also features presentations from medical professionals about batterers and battering. Stressing that health care professionals are on the frontlines of the fight against domestic violence, the video demonstrates how physicians can effectively identify and intervene to support their patients who are abused. The video was one of the course materials for the 4-part interactive workshop for health care professionals offered by the Massachusetts Medical Society, Seminar Series on Domestic Violence.
