The reproduction on the other side is from a picture at the Headquarters of the Scottish Branch of the British Red Cross Society in Glasgow, and depicts Florence Nightingale receiving the sick and wounded at the Barracks Hospital in Scutari after the Battle of Inkermann in 1854. The Bosphorous and Stamboul are seen in the distance. The figure of Florence Nightingale is the one immediately beneath the window.
