Wayne State University Medical School, Detroit, Michigan, with the suggestion that an essay for the "anti-textbook" could be "the overemphasis of race in concepts of disease and their incidence in population groups," the practical significance of which is that it leads to the diagnosis of race rather than disease and has led to misapplied treatment and led to fatalities
