Fasciculo de medicina, 1522

First published in 1491, Johannes de Ketham's Fasciculo de medicina is a compendium of medical knowledge combining ancient and medieval medical traditions with Renaissance innovations. The first illustrated medical work to appear in print, Fasciculo de medicina includes drawings of an anatomy lecture and cadaver dissection, a female figure showing diseases common to women, a chart of urine analysis through color identification for diagnosis of disease, and a diagram showing the correlation between zodiac signs and specific regions of the body governed by those signs.
