Flora Londinensis, or, Plates and descriptions of such plants as grow wild in the environs of London, 1777

Flora Londinensis describes in English and Latin 73 plants botanist William Curtis found within a ten-mile radius of London in the mid-18th century, including such small perennials as trefoil, pilewort, and coltsfoot. The oversize volume includes a life-size hand-colored copperplate engraving of each plant, information on where it might typically be found (such as walls, meadows, or watery ditches), and any known medicinal or culinary uses.
