A choice manual: or, rare and select secrets in physick and chirurgery, 1726

This indexed volume contains recipes for treating a wide variety of illnesses and conditions, purportedly collected by the Countess of Kent. Ailments considered range from toothaches, burns, and sore eyes, to melancholy, the plague, and wounds from swords and arrows. Many of the recipes employ common kitchen ingredients such as herbs, oils, and vinegars.
